You set the limits.
Two switches decide the rest, and both are off until you turn them on. Edit stock lets someone add, change, restock and delete items. Show profit lets them see profit figures. Leave both off for a sales-only counter account.

A sale on the counter phone shows up on yours straight away, and stock changes follow. A phone that is offline catches up when it reconnects.

Can my staff use BusinessX on their own phones?
Yes. You invite staff by email and they can always record sales. You choose whether they can also edit stock and whether they can see profit; both are off by default.
Can I stop staff seeing my profit?
Yes. Profit stays hidden from staff unless you switch Show profit on for that person.
Can staff change my stock?
Only if you let them. The Edit stock switch lets a person add, change, restock and delete items, and it is off by default.
How many shops can I run in one account?
Up to 3 shops. Switch between them inside the app; each keeps its own stock and sales records.
Do staff phones update instantly?
Yes, while they are online. A phone that was offline catches up as soon as it reconnects.
