1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and Shrey Jain, an individual resident in India (Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India), trading as BusinessX (“we”, “our”, “us”), governing your use of the BusinessX mobile application (Android and iOS) and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). BusinessX is not a company. We may update these Terms; the paragraphs below explain how you are told about changes. Continued use of the App after a non-material change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
On major update events, we may share update information by email to the address on your account, or over registered mail to users who have provided a mailing address or are registered with us. This is to ensure you are informed of significant changes to the App or these Terms.
By creating an account, you consent to receive service emails from us at the address on your account — including account and security notices, subscription or billing notices, and important alerts such as material changes to the Service or these Terms. These are operational communications, not marketing, and are described further in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptance is mandatory and recorded. You must read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy in full — by scrolling through them in the App and tapping “I Accept” — before you can use the App. This applies on both Android and iOS, whether you are installing the App for the first time or have used an earlier version of the App before this requirement existed. There is no way to use the App without accepting, and no way to skip past the acceptance screen other than closing the App. We record the date and time of your acceptance and the version of these Terms and the Privacy Policy you accepted, as described in our Privacy Policy. If we materially change these Terms or the Privacy Policy, we will require you to review and accept the updated version again before you can keep using the App. If you do not accept, you can stop using the App and delete your account at any time; if you have a paid Premium period running and the change materially worsens it, you may also cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part (Section 6).
2. Description of Service
BusinessX is a mobile application, available on Android and iOS, that helps small business owners track inventory, record sales, manage expenses, and generate financial reports. The App stores data locally on your device and, if you activate a Premium backup option, optionally backs it up to your Google Drive account (Android and iOS), your iCloud account (iOS only), or our own BusinessX Cloud Backup & Sync servers, which also enable real-time multi-device sync and Shared Workspaces (Section 15). See our Privacy Policy for what each option stores and where.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service. For free features we may do so with or without notice. For a feature included in a Premium period you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice of any material reduction, and if it materially worsens what you paid for you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of that period (Section 6).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding contract, to use the App. The Service is a business tool and is not intended for minors. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms (including on behalf of any business you use the App for). If we learn that someone under this age is using the App, we may close the account and delete its data.
4. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download and use the App on Android or iOS devices you own or control, solely for your personal and business purposes.
You may not: (a) copy, modify, or distribute the App; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; (c) sublicense or transfer your license to any other person; (d) use the App for any unlawful purpose.
5. Subscription Plans & Payments
BusinessX offers one paid product: BusinessX Premium, available in three billing durations — 30 days, 180 days, and 365 days. Premium unlocks cloud backup, cross-device sync, shop sharing, exports, sales history older than last month, multi-shop, and ad removal, as described in the App and on our website.
Free use (no subscription): You may use the App without a paid plan. Without Premium you still get core selling and stock tracking, current-month reports, and shop #1. A paid subscription is not required to use those features.
When Premium ends: cloud backup, sync and shop sharing pause for your shops and for anyone you share them with. Cloud data is kept for 6 months and then deleted if Premium is not renewed, as described in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
Billing: You may purchase Premium through the Google Play Store (Android), the Apple App Store (iOS), or our website. On Android and iOS, payments are processed and managed by Google or Apple respectively; we do not store or have access to your payment card details on either platform. Website purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for those transactions.
Web purchases: Website purchases are one-time payments for a chosen duration. After payment, you receive a redeem code by email. Enter that code in the App via “Have a code?” to activate Premium. The billed duration starts when you redeem the code, not when you complete checkout. Web purchases do not auto-renew.
Auto-renewal: Auto-renewal applies only to subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date through your Google Play account (Android) or your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS). Website / Lemon Squeezy purchases do not auto-renew.
Redeem codes: Codes issued for web purchases are single-use, non-transferable, and treated as bearer secrets. Anyone who redeems a valid unused code on an account receives the corresponding Premium entitlement. Do not share your code. Lost or stolen codes that have already been redeemed cannot be reissued.
Price changes: We may change Premium prices at any time. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for. For store subscriptions, Google or Apple's own notice and consent rules apply to renewals at a new price; we will also provide reasonable advance notice where the law requires it.
Taxes: Prices are shown by the store or checkout you buy through, and include or add VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar taxes where required. Google, Apple, or (for website purchases) Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record calculate, collect, and pay those taxes.
Web purchases and Lemon Squeezy: For website purchases, Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record and its own buyer terms also apply to that transaction; BusinessX provides the Premium entitlement that the redeem code unlocks.
6. Refund Policy
Refunds depend on where you purchased Premium. For website purchases processed by Lemon Squeezy (merchant of record), refund requests are handled through Lemon Squeezy's processes and policies. For in-app purchases and subscriptions on Android, refunds are governed by Google Play Store policies — you may request one through the Google Play Store within the applicable refund window. On iOS, refunds are governed by Apple's policies — you may request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through your Apple ID subscription settings. We do not independently process store refunds outside of Google's or Apple's processes.
If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using a paid feature, please contact us at businessxteam@gmail.com and we will work with you to resolve it.
Your statutory rights: nothing in these Terms limits any right to cancel, withdraw, or be refunded that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived. For example, consumers in the EU and UK may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services (which can end once the service has been supplied with your consent), and consumers in India, Australia, and elsewhere have statutory remedies for faulty or misdescribed services. Those rights are exercised through the channel that sold to you (Google Play, the App Store, or Lemon Squeezy), and we will help you do that. If we end your access without cause or make a material reduction as described in Sections 2 and 12, we will help you obtain a refund of any prepaid, unused Premium period.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will not use the App to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Enter or store fraudulent, misleading, or illegal business information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
- Use the App in any way that could harm us, other users, or third parties
- Use modified, unofficial, or automated clients, or otherwise bypass or tamper with the App's security, purchase or Premium checks, sync limits, or usage limits
- Resell, share for payment, or fraudulently obtain Premium or redeem codes
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the business data you enter into the App, for keeping your login secure, and for the activity on your account. If you record personal data about other people (for example customers or staff), you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so, for telling them as the law requires, and for answering their requests; see Section 17.
8. Intellectual Property
The App and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and code) are and remain the exclusive property of Shrey Jain (operating as BusinessX) and our licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to the business data you enter into the App. When you use backup, sync, or Shared Workspaces, you give us only the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to store, copy, transmit, and display that data to you and to the people you invite, in order to provide those features. We do not claim ownership of your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
9. Data & Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. BusinessX is a tool to help you organize your business data — it is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or financial advice, and it does not calculate or file taxes for you.
Some countries and U.S. states do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. In those places the exclusions above apply only to the extent the law allows, and nothing in these Terms affects any statutory right you have as a consumer (see Section 11).
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BUSINESSX AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
What this does not limit: nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for breach of a mandatory consumer, data protection, or other statutory right. If you are a consumer, this Section applies only to the extent permitted by the law of the country where you live. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of business records that matter to you, for example by using the export feature.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we believe you have violated these Terms, if needed to protect the security or integrity of the Service or other users, or where the law requires, and in those cases we may do so immediately. We may also end the Service or your access for any other reason on reasonable notice (for example, by email or in the App); if that happens, we will help you get a refund of any prepaid, unused Premium period and you will be able to export your data first wherever possible.
You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. If you wish to delete any data associated with your account, please visit our data deletion page.
When Premium ends: backup, sync and shop sharing pause, and the App keeps working on your device. We keep your BusinessX Cloud backup and sync data for 6 months, with reminders, and delete it from our servers if Premium is not renewed within that time. Your account and the data on your own devices are not deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Before starting any court proceeding, please first write to our Grievance Officer (Section 14) so we can try to resolve the dispute informally; we will respond within 30 days. Any disputes arising under these Terms that are not resolved that way shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
If you reside in a jurisdiction that grants you mandatory consumer protections which cannot be waived by contract (for example, the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Australia, or a U.S. state), this section does not deprive you of the protection of those mandatory provisions, and nothing in this section limits any right you may have to bring a claim in your local courts under such mandatory law. If you are a consumer in India, you may also bring a complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission that has jurisdiction over where you live or work.
14. Contact Us

We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days, and in any case within 30 days. This address is also our single point of contact for regulators and authorities (including under the EU Digital Services Act) and for anyone who wants to report unlawful content or conduct.
15. Shared Workspaces (Multi-User Access)
BusinessX Premium lets a shop owner (“Owner”) invite another BusinessX account (a “Guest”) to see one shop's data and record sales in it, and optionally edit its stock, in real time. An invited Guest gets access only after accepting the invitation in the App, and can decline it. If you use this feature:
- As Owner, you are solely responsible for choosing who to invite and what access (sales only, or sales plus stock editing) to grant them, and for removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
- As Guest, you may access the Owner's shop data only for the purpose the Owner intended, and your access ends immediately if the Owner removes you.
- We are not responsible for a Guest's misuse of access the Owner granted, or for an Owner's choice of who to invite. Any dispute between an Owner and a Guest over shop data is between those two users.
- The number of Guests you can invite may be limited by your subscription plan, as described in the App.
See our Privacy Policy for what data is visible to a Guest and what happens when access is removed.
16. International Use
The App is offered to users worldwide. We make no representation that the App, or BusinessX Cloud Backup & Sync, is appropriate or available for use in every country, and you are responsible for complying with local laws applicable to your use of the App, including any laws governing the export or import of the App or the business data you store in it. Our servers, including those used for BusinessX Cloud Backup & Sync, are located in India; see our Privacy Policy (Section 12) for details on international data transfers.
Sanctions and export laws: you represent that you are not located in, and are not a resident or national of, a country or region subject to a comprehensive embargo or sanctions by India, the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, or the United Kingdom, and that you are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You may not use the App where doing so would break those laws.
17. Data Processing Terms (Your Customers' and Staff's Data)
For the personal data of other people that you choose to record in BusinessX (for example, a customer's name on an unpaid sale, or a staff member's name), you decide why and how it is used and you are the controller; we act as your processor when we store and sync it for you. This Section is our data processing agreement with you, to the extent GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law requires one:
- Subject matter and duration: storing, syncing, backing up, restoring, and (for Shared Workspaces) showing the shop data you enter, for as long as you use those features and for the retention periods in our Privacy Policy (Section 9).
- Data and people: whatever personal data you enter about your customers, suppliers, and staff (typically names and notes), and the email addresses of people you invite.
- Instructions: we process that data only to provide the Service to you, following these Terms and your use of the App's features, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Confidentiality and security: we keep it confidential and protect it with the measures in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
- Sub-processors: you authorize the providers listed in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy (for example Google Cloud/Firebase). We will update that list before adding or replacing one; if you object for a good reason you may stop using the affected feature and delete your data.
- Your rights and requests: we will help you, by reasonable technical means, to respond to requests from the people whose data you enter (for example, you can edit or delete records in the App; contact us if you need more).
- Breaches: we will tell you without undue delay after we become aware of a breach affecting that data.
- Deletion and return: when you delete the data or your account, or when the retention periods end, we delete it (and you can export it beforehand).
- Audits and transfers: on request we will give you the information reasonably needed to show we meet this Section. Transfers of that data outside your country are covered by Section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
18. Apple App Store and Google Play
For everyone: this agreement is between you and Shrey Jain, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the App and its content, maintenance, support, and any warranty, to the extent these Terms provide one. Purchases made in a store are also subject to that store's terms.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- The licence we grant you is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on an Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. Any other claims, losses, or costs from a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims you or anyone else has about the App or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection, privacy, or similar claims.
- If a third party claims the App infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- You must follow any applicable third-party terms (for example, your mobile data provider's) when using the App. You represent that you meet the sanctions requirement in Section 16.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Section and of these Terms as they apply to the App on iOS, and when you accept these Terms Apple gains the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Questions, complaints, or claims about the App can be sent to Shrey Jain, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, businessxteam@gmail.com.
If you downloaded the App from Google Play: the Google Play Terms of Service apply to your download and purchases. Google is not responsible for the App or for supporting it.
19. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier version.
- If part is invalid: if any provision is held unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver: not enforcing a provision right away does not mean we give it up.
- Transfer of the business: we may transfer these Terms and your account to a successor operator (for example, if Shrey Jain incorporates or sells the business), with notice to you in the App or by email; you may not transfer your rights without our written consent. If you object to a transfer you may delete your account and stop using the App.
- Events beyond our control: we are not liable for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of Google, Apple, or internet providers, natural disasters, or government action.
- Notices: we may give you notice by email to the address on your account, in the App, or on this page. You may give us notice at businessxteam@gmail.com.
- Language: these Terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience, and the English version prevails where the law allows.
- No partnership: nothing in these Terms makes you and us partners, agents, or employer and employee.
- Survival: the parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue (for example Sections 8, 10, 11, 13, and 17) continue after your account ends.
